It's not just Texas, but Texas is where a lot of stupid shit like this gets started. It's happening all over the US, now, and parents should fight these cases - every single fucking one of them! - tooth and nail. Lawyer up if you absolutely have to, pull your kids the fuck out of school en masse, something. I can understand cops dealing with knives and guns, maybe even serious fighting, but this is obscene. We can't let stuff like this get to be more precedent than it already is or we're doomed.

Another example to bring corporal punishment back.When I was in middle school there weren't any cops.I just think people should have common sense.Somtimes you have to fight to defend your self.They should only ticket and jail somebody if they bring a weapon to fight somebody in school.Not ticket somebody for merely defending them selfs

The bullies are overdue for a trip to the woodshed for an attitude adjustment. The only winners in this situation are those collecting the fines.

I agree with this law, I just think the wrong person got fined. And this particular situation is helping the problem, not solving it. The bullies in our schools need to be dealt with, not the victims. It's the bullies who cause kids to shoot up their schools. In most school shooting cases, the shooters are victims who've had enough. Wipe out bullying, but make sure you're punishing the bullies and not the victims
