So here I present to you, Chopin's Nocturne in E Minor. This piece can be found in the OST for the movie "The Pianist"

Hmm, coming back to view this one again, I plan on redoing it later. I want to slow down the tempo a little, more rubato, and definitely more contrast in volume; particularly playing softer

  • I'm not a big fan of your interpretation, but I respect it and you do it well. Good job! One suggestion though: trills from the romantic period were usually started on the bottom note. However, it really is up to whatever the pianist thinks sounds better. Give it a try, you might like it.

  • thanks for you input.

There's actually nothing special at all about my recording. I would really like to make a new one some time in the future.

  • Beautiful! Where did you get the sheet music for this?

  • i bought it

  • I am playing this piece. It is in AMEB Grade 8 16th Edition. The left hand is not supposed to speed up and slow down as much as you did and the accents you put were a bit too strong. I know you wanted to put emotion in it but don't go too far. Good job though! :)

  • man you make me want a piano and just play and play and play until i get as good as you

  • wow. i totally think your a good pianist

  • Bravo... Envy.

  • is sound like a horror movie.imagine a dead person in the ground as the cam moves closer and than........"SCREAM"..lol jk.

  • i played that once on piano ;) i love it

  • nice version, your 'rubato' is cool, it gives feelings to the piece

  • You might want to try playing with a metronome. The left hand should be very legato. A good way to practice this is without pedal. Make it as smooth without pedal and then when you do add it back it will only enhance the piece

  • i don't like the sound of the piano, but i think you did really well

  • Very good! If I can make a few suggestions...listen to the voicing very carefully...your left hand in the beginning is beautiful, but when the right hand enters with the melody, see if you can't make it "soar" more...I don't know how to describe it..but nice timbre and well played :)
