1. Helps carry nutrients throughout our body
2. Regulates our temperature so we don't get too hot or too cold
3. Provides lubrication between our joints
4. Helps regulate our blood pressure
5. Keeps our mucosal linings, our nose, eyes, throat and skin moist
6. Provides cushioning for our organs and our brains
7. Aides in digestion and assimilation of food (just don't drink too much while you eat, or you'll dilute the hydrochloric acid in your stomach)
8. Flushes out toxins out of the body (important for fat loss!)
9. Aides in weight loss and fat loss
10. Maintains our blood viscosity (the thickness of our blood)

  • Good reasons of why you should drink water, but not exactly what I was looking for. But if I get an assignment in school that is important why we drink water, I will keep this video in mind. :)

  • Lolointro1 -- great question! It's best to drink the water at room temperature. Neither too cold or too hot. It's better assimilated when it's room temp. Hope that helps!
