Examines the contents of the cans, the ingredients and additives and makes a cost comparison. Also examines the shortfall in protein levels and looks at what is often done to overcome the lack.

  • ...and my parents think they were saving money by feeding cheap and affordable commercial dog food to their dog. Riiiight... in the long run, they probably paid out more money then they had to had they decided to feed him healthier food. The moral is to not "cut corners" with your animals health. Feed them the healthier food even if it appears to be more costly in short term. If you go for "cheap food" to save money, in later years you'll be paying MORE vet bills- the animal may not live as long

  • a big reason to feed your dog/cat raw meat with a tiny amount of veggies is because vet bills will be lower... in the long term, a healthier diet translates to significantly less vet bills. My parents feed their dog crap, and for the last 2 years they blew their $1500 (USD) PER YEAR on that dog ($3000 total over a 2 year period). And now because the dog doesn't get minerals (from REAL bones), it has arthritis... more vet bills. Costs could have been mitigated from better food from the start.

  • @Kagomey101 Raw meat organ and bone with occasional pureed veges

  • Feed your pets natural foods.. .Things that you'd eat but only the healthy stuff...

  • you already made the same video

  • Tomato powder? Are you serious? Never give dogs or cats for that matter anything related to nightshade.

  • Informative. Nice experiment!

  • Everyone should know that if you see "meat and bone meal"...the "meat" and "bone" can be from any animal...and it can be any part of an animal. Meat and bone meal could be dead whole cows, horses, dead zoo animals, roadkill, supermarket garbage meat, recycled grease from restaurants, and even euthanized dogs and cats, the flea collars and tags are still attached while the animals are cooked. Any and all of these animals are ground, cooked and turned into a powder called "meat and bone meal."

  • Kag, We fed our chihuahua two bowls of Science Diet and it died. Thinking it was something else, we gave the rest of the bag to my brother in law who,s dog nearly died after 1500 dollars of vet bills. Our dog now eats nothing from a bag or a can. We make it ourselves

  • Excuse me, do you think you can help me out? Since a lot of the dog foods in my local pet store are apparently bad for dogs, is it possible to feed the dog the same meat the family eats? If not, what dog foods are healthy for Chihuahuas?
