Ron Paul is against gay marriage, he doesn't support banning gay marriage on a federal level not because he supports homosexuals but because he prefers the states themselves to choose whether they want to ban homosexuals. Ron Paul is not a libertarian he's simply a true conservative - the rest are hacks, frauds, con-artsist and complete asshats.

Yes, it's proof that most politicians lie to get votes, but he has a history of consistently voting in favor of constitution, and voting agaisnt Patriot Act, Iraq War, etc. Other politicians don't have that history. their promises come out of nowhere. Obama promised to legalize Marijuana, guess what? he's trying to make it illegal where it's ALREADY legal for medical use.

*Facepalm* Ron Paul is aloud to have his own beliefs. Just because he doesn't support gay marriage or abortion, doesn't mean he wants to ban it. In fact, he basically says its not his position to tell the American people what to do, and says it should be up to the individual states to deal with banning/allowing anything if the need arises.
