nope, chinese wars back in the day resulted in heavy casulties. Armies in china were much larger than those in europe and also in modern day combat. Despite there being a larger population today, advanced technologies give each individual soldier more value than in ancient times. Casulities in chinese civil wars usually at least numbered 1,000,000+.

uhh that is totally wrong. for one thing, population in modern days is way way bigger than back then as well, so just that alone wud make it more natural for modern day wars to result in more bloodshed.

maybe wut the history channel wuz trying to say wuz the proportion of ppl that died out of their race or sumthing wuz greater (and even that is hard to argue, if u look at modern day ethnic cleansing and holocaust etc...)

i was watching something on the history channel about ancient wars, they say more people died in the ancients battles than modern days wars that's going on or that happened.

i notice that andy lau is really starting to take over asian cinama, but whats really surprising are the rolls hes taking. hes been in so many historical movies recently and straying away from martial arts cinima. but thats allright with me. i like andy lau. i cant wait to see him in three kingdoms. he was great in battle of wits and even better in this one.
