my husband and i stayed at the stephen daniels house 14 years ago....it was awesome...dont judge it by the video..we had a gorgeous time..the inn was gorgeous and it haunted as well....believe me it is..i have the photos to prove it..so if you want some haunted fun..go here!!!

Precisely why we went too, Mama ... we mulled over the choices, there's lots, finally, I decided that Salem was one of those trips where in order to properly get in the "spirit" of things, Motel 6 just wouldn't do ... but Motel 666 might! The house dates from the period, 1667, so in shooting for authenticity, I feel we scored a bullseye. We didn't want a chain motel experience, we wanted historic Salem. This house reflects that well.

Does a GHOST CAT thrill you? Nahhh, I went for the authenticity of the place. It will not disappoint on that front, I'll tell you ... and don't wait, because who knows how much longer the owner will do this. It won't be for everybody, it's for people who don't mind living in someone else's house for a few days. As such, it's a very different experience from that of a motel. It's called respect, and I gather some reviewers have treated the place with less than that.

Hi Valerie! Nah, this isn't meant to be an ad, it's just for fun.

We enjoyed it, but it isn't for everyone. We went for atmosphere after being disappointed at too many cheap motels. Obviously, we don't do something like this often, but some places warrant a splurge on the room. Gettysburg and Salem are two examples.

The reason it's so dark is it was shot at 4am without a light. The cam has manual controls but I won't fuss with them 'til I know what I'm doing!

Really??? I watched this video while searching for Salem accommodations. About 75% of this video is all black.  Won't choose this B&B based on this video.
