My goodness! She is not comfortable with the topic so much that she is reading from a note about the profession.
Please do not give advice on the profession as you don't know what you are talking about. She failed to mention important information and then she says to major in specifics. Really incorrect.
FYI an ophthalmologist should be giving these advice.

False, you don't need a bachelors in Biology or Chemistry. It can be in any topic as long as they have taken the pre-med courses.

This is completely wrong. First you have to get a degree from undergraduate in anything you like. Then you have to take the MCAT to get into medical school. You take 2 of the 3 licensing exams while in medical school to be a medical doctor. You then apply for a residency in Ophthalmology while in medical school and this will be a four year program. The first year will be in either general medicine or general surgery and following that you begin your ophthalmology residency
