Someone know why the Rock won this match, only to job to Lesnar at summerslam? Did the Undertaker have a problem jobbing to Lesnar at summerslam had he retained? Always found this to be a bit of a pointless transition since it was going to change hands at SS anyway.

@S77whut I think they thought that Lesnar beating The Rock for the title would make him look more legit because The Rock at the time was the biggest face in wrestling and Taker was a heel. Lesnar went on to beat Taker two ppvs in a row though.

@S77well I think the WWE was sucking up for The Rock to stay as often as he could in between his movies so they gave him another World Title. Plus they prbly wanted to save the Undertaker vs Lesnar feud for a couple ppvs so they could build up to the HIAC Match
