Now that I understand too. Because The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp is my favourite but I am totally HAUNTED by Black Narcissus it is freakin' constantly at the back of my mind. But that I suppose has a lot to do with the genius of Michael Powell & Emeric Pressburger!
The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp is my absolute favourite movie. I am always recommending and I take it quite personally when people don't LOVE it too.
I understand completely! I take it personally when people don't adore EVERY single performance by Deborah Kerr. But I get especially huffy over "The Innocents" because that is my all time favorite performance by her and one of my top 4 fave movies w/Deborah (along with "Black Narcissus","The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp", and "Heaven Knows Mr. Allison") Actually I can't choose just 4...
How incredible is Black Narcissus? My favourite Deborah movie; she is remarkable in a truly remarkable film...if you haven't seen it, RUN RUN to the rental place NOW!!! :D
