love mellancamps songs and talent, but he comes off ignorant here in my opinion. Very egocentric. I liked when he towed the line between the beauty and plight of America like "small town" but this message is just insulting to his peers. But that's just what I believe. His style is actually one of my big songwriting inspirations!

That's what I am trying to figure out. I like hearing John sing with just his guitar. He really is an amazing singer and songwriter and musician.

I don't take smoke breaks at McDonald's, thank you very much, as I am a PhD-holding scientist entrusted with overseeing most likely more money in one year than you will see in 20. Since you seem so liberal in casting accusations as to my livelihood over the ether, you must be a liberal yourself. Think before you type next time.
