Pottery Barn keeps you abreast with the latest trends in home decor. In this video, Pottery Barn expert Nico De Swert infuses organic materials in floral arrangements by using different kinds of beautifully woven baskets from Pottery Barn as home decor.
As a waterproof barrier, Nico lines the basket with a trimmed garbage bag and uses floral wires to secure it to the basket. For creating the base for this floral arrangement, Nico suggests using champagne buckets. Using a galvanized bucket, filled with water and flower food as the base for making floral arrangements is another good suggestion. The most inexpensive flowers available are the seasonal blooms. In this case, Nico has used yellow chrysanthemums which are in bloom during late summer. Nico assembles his floral arrangement using a well-known European technique. Once the chrysanthemums are bunched up he ties them with a strong thread and chops off the excess stems for a perfect fit in the basket.
