Campus El Segundo
10/30/2011

While watching a soccer match, police activity whipped up at the train station near Campus, El Segundo. Someone left a briefcase and so the bomb sniffing dog was dispatched. Deputies spotted me capturing the action on my Canon ELF and decided to question me. They were POLITE! I feared they were coming after me to be onerous due to my videotaping their actions.

  • "I'm friends with Lee Baca". - LOL, good one!

  • Always, always carry a copy of the US Constitution with you. You can get a booklet of it from an congressperson's office. Just a thought. Take care and happy new year.

  • Yes, it is their policy to attempt to collect as much info for their reports, but no you aren't obliged to provide any. This is why it is best to NEVER talk to the police. It can never help you. You never want your name or info on any reports or their databases. Here is a great video to watch: watch?v=6wXkI4t7nuc It is long, but it gives you a great perspective from both a law professor AND police detective.
