yeah, but at least today there is always the rechargeable batteries. When these came out in the early 80's, there were no rechargeable batteries.

The WOW version is the ONLY one that had a Grubby (besides also being larger than the rest). The only thing I wish they would have made is an A/C adapter, because 8 "C" batteries can get quite expensie!!!

The BackPack version was a HUGE disappointment for me. For one, he's FAR smaller than the ones I had since 1986. Secondly, there's NO GRUBBY!! I've had the Teddy Ruxpin/Grubby duo side-by-side since 1986, exactly 20 years before I got the new one.

By the way, for those who say if you were born before 1980, you're too old to remember Teddy Ruxpin, but I was born BEFORE 1980, and I not only remember the original, but I say you're NEVER too old for Teddy Ruxpin- and Grubby!!!
