@yunblak Okay. What do i hear when I ask people what the SBotS is? nuthing. They look at me like I am crazy. Nobody knows the letters. they know full names. Just because your guntry little school may be all high and mighty to you, does't mean that you should go to other schools hating and what not!
-
@BOBEAUX5 By the way, when I ask ANYBODY what a mmh is?.....they ask me "To repeat myself about ten times" I just found out this year that was the name of that band LOL. So, I guess you're a fan of a no-name. Nothing you say can prove what has already been proven through the past and present. asu is a mess
-
@BOBEAUX5 Again, Jacksonville state NOR Alabama state has the winning tradition that Jackson State has. I do know that Jacksonville is a bigger school, but does not have the fan base or following that JSU has...Fact ! Nice job trying to compare JSU and JSU LOL. How about comparing the 20 Jackson State SWAC titles to bama state's 3....crickets ?? Also, The Sonic Boom vs mmh.....No Comparison. Now Google that

@yunblak Football doesn't matter. College is about academics.
-
@yunblak You say that "I-AA school in Alabama" like Jackson State isn't I-AA! If you know your school, you would know that Jackson State is in I-AA. JSU is from a wider known conference, and play a large school every year. They also have a nationally known band. They are a corp style band. JSU is a show band. Comparing them would be ignorant. Their football team would probably beat Jackson's 7 out of 10 times. They have magnificent athletics facilities.
-
@BOBEAUX5 ANSWER : JSU/JSU. Good Day.
-
@BOBEAUX5 Whoever you are, you are really lame for that re-enactment LOL. Back to the subject matter , if the discussion is about accolades....then the JSU in Jackson ms is way more recognized than that I-AA school in Alabama. LMAO that school isn't known for their band at all , and definitely not their football program. Try Again. Simple as this : which band has a better name for themselves JSU OR BAMA STATE ?? football program/wining tradition JSU OR BAMA STATE ??
-
@yunblak Type in "JSU" in Google. 4 out of the first five links are to Jacksonville State. So don't give me that, when people think of JSU they think of Jackson. The people around you may think that because that is probably all that they know. When people across the country think JSU, majority of them think "Jacksonville State"!
-
@yunblak When most people think of JSU, they think of Jacksonville State University. When I ask my friends where they want to go to college, a few of them say, "JSU", I say, "Ooo, you want to be in their band." They say yes. Then, I usually say, "Yeah their band gets down." Then my friends usually return with, "No, not that JSU. The big one." By that, they mean Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, AL. Which is a wider known school.

@BOBEAUX5 It is not a matter of Belief but, it is a matter of Denial. JSU's name speaks for it self . When people say asu....people are confused as to rather you are referring to alcorn, Albany state, Arizona state, or even Arkansas state. When you hear JSU, ppl automatically start naming accolades of the school (unless you're a hater) . But again , if you "choose" to be a fan in denial, the constitution states that you have every right to be ;:^)
@Antroy30080 I know all schools have signature songs. But, alabama state did not play a single CURRENT song at the game vs JSU this yr. Their directors and arrangers need to step it up

@bluphi1877 I guess I need to upload the footage of them playing Miguel's "Quickie" or Ceelo's "Fool For You" to make you happy. To be honest, I've noticed that there are a LOT more old school songs being played by ALL bands this year. Not just Alabama State.

same old ass songs! Are they gonna play anything 2011? Other schools are far advanced in their song selection
bluphi1877 4 months ago
@bluphi1877 If you knew anything about Alabama State, you would know that this is one of the songs they play just about every year. Every band has their "signature song" that they'll play every year regardless of how old it is.
