The greatest Frankenstein film EVER!
This is the opening to an edit I made, combining James Whale's FRANKENSTEIN (1931) and THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN (1935) into one film. Parts were slightly rearranged and new color tints were added.

  • Great work on the edit! Kudos to you for this fascinating work... Have you thought about adding snippets of the 'Bride of Frankenstein' music into 'Frankenstein'? You could rip the music from the picture slideshow on the 'Bride' DVD, and then edit it in where appropriate. Might make some bits flow better. Just an idea!

  • I am actually working on that right now!

  • why do people associate igor with being dr frankensteins assistant? the first assistant was fritz, the second was dr pretorious, the third was benson, the fourth was dr bohmor, sure ygor or igor was in two of these movies but was never an assistant

  • I do not and can never understand why anyone would ruin James Whales opus's(Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein) by colorizing them. Keep your Crayolas in the box. You destroy the integrity as well as the vision of the filmmaker. Ted Turner tried that, and John Huston as well as Orson Welles ridiculed Turner for destroying the artistic vision of great films that were photographed in B&W. Your idea of editing the two films (as interwoven) is well done, very good show!!!

  • can you make a story of wolfman

  • They could'nt make a movie like this if they tried today

  • for this movie BORIS KARLOFF, went through several hours of grueling make-up work daily from JACK PIERCE..this film was completed in about 14 weeks..it's reported KARLOFF, lost about 25 lbs. doing this..BUT..when he wasn't involved with shooting on 'FRANKENSTEIN" on a certain day..he would then be involved with another movie "SCARFACE" where he played the crook GAFFNEY..who was gunned down by PAUL MUNI in a bowling alley..

  • Wonderful work! I love the color tints too! Zak445 is not my real name, but I have just finished a Book Manuscript concerning the 8 Frankenstein Films. I'm just about finished with the "proofing" stage, and hope to have it in the hands of a Literary Agent by next month or so. Thank you again, Tony.

  • @Kdogdude26 Elsa Lancaster, huh? Certainly was attractive in her day.

  • Great Job! I love it.

  • My daughter kept asking about Frankenstein, so I showed her this- thinking there was more to it. It's amazing how far science has come, since this movie was first made [cloning/brain transplants] and the like.

  • Still the creepiest grave yard in cinema history,
