中國書法: 健康,長壽,幸福感

書法是中國文化的瑰寶,世界文明的遺產。人們對書法的研究,多從藝術,文化及教育的角度開展,取得了豐碩的成果。現代科學探討書法,是嶄新課題。 其在書法,健康與長壽之間的關係,成果最為突出。

學界對長壽的界定,不僅重視生理保健,同時強調認知,情緒,審美與和諧關係等心理健康指標。研究顯示,書法對這幾方面行為,能夠產生積極的促進作用。

本報告將從理論,實驗,及臨床體驗這幾方面,探討書法,健康與長壽之間的關係,並以提升人們的幸福感,作為書法實踐的目標。


ABSTRACT
Calligraphy for Health, Longevity & Wellness

Chinese calligraphy has long been studied from the perspectives of art, education and culture. Scientific investigation on the benefits of practicing calligraphy in recent years has generated some fascinating findings, especially in the areas of health, longevity and wellness.

The contemporary concept of one's health involves not only physical health, which is the foundation of longevity, but also his psychological states in the domains of cognition, emotion, social harmony, aesthetic experience and life's satisfaction. One's global wellbeing thus encompasses strive and attainment of these parameters of health.

Three decades of research has confirmed the impact of practicing Chinese calligraphy in contributing to one's cognitive activation, physiological slowdown and relaxation,
emotional stability, social interactions as well as affective experience of aesthetics.

This body of knowledge underlines the calligraphic foundations of human longevity, wellness and life's satisfaction. Positive effects of this practice are further evidenced through treatment and clinical successes in a number of mental, psychosomatic and behavioral disorders in children, adults and the elderly.

This talk will highlight some of the theories, experiments and applications of the practice of Chinese calligraphy that underline the practitioner's health, longevity and sense of personal wellness.
