I created a stop motion photography video project for my New Media Studies summer 2007 class at the University Of Mary Washington (taught by distinguished professor Dr. C). The Video is based on ideas of metaphor and symbiosis as explored by J.C.R. Licklider (a man who worked with psychoacoustics, became interested in information technology) and his seminal paper on Man-Computer Symbiosis. The goal of my project was to become an "expert" in YouTube, and make a something using YouTube to demonstrate what I do best (take photos) coupled with what YouTube does best (broadcasts/shares videos). The sandwich metaphor is supposed to symbolize two things coming together/working together to make something better/great. A small thing like combining peanut butter with jelly can form an outstanding sandwich.
