President Steven E. Franklin and Chancellor Tom Jackson to Preside over their First Convocation; 1,883 Graduates to be Honoured in Five Ceremonies Over Three Days, including largest class of graduating students.
An honorary degree was conferred upon the Honourable William G. Davis, who addressed convocation.
The new president hopefully cannot fill the shoes of Bonnie. If he did he would have to transform the university from what it was, make terrible finanical decisions and crush all dissent on campus. So ya i have faith Franklin will not fill Bonnies shoes.
BTW to the other commenter, Trent has become a more conservative university in the last 5-10 years than it was back in the day. Most Universities are by nature left wing.Trent is no different than other universities regarding political ideology

Finally Trent has a conservative politician speak at the left wing socialist university. Premier Davis was a popular leader and was heavily responsible for trent and others building universities as Ontario Minister of Education. Premier Davis a red tory still a tory. One of the last and only conservatives respected at Trent.
