I switched to MOSFET circuit. It works really well. The RPMs in this video are about 1800. The motor vibrates a lot, I will have to balance the rotor.

  • Yes, that would increase the motor speed, but in that case I would have to make changes in the circuit as the circuit logic can not be powered by more than 14v or so. Also I must balance the rotor first :)

  • Yes :)

This motor is like a little baby, it is weak and clumsy at first, but it will grow big and strong :-)

  • -gmeatdaddy, the timing is not tweaked for now, this is only a test run.

  • great work so far,, only one question/comment. In peters video when he puts a load on the motor there is no change in the amps. I seen in your video that when you put a load on it the amps shot way up? correct me if I'm wrong,, as i couldn't see you putting a load on it but it did sound like it and then the amps shot way up? keep up the good work :)

  • Great work! Perhaps you can achieve better performance by increasing the input voltage.

  • Its alive, its alive ! :) Nice to see progress, now comes the tuning, thanks for sharing.

  • Hi Jetijs,Is that the amp draw going up under load?.If so hopefully Peter can help tune it up.Not at all what I was anticipating.
