In March 1995 Executive Outcome, a private paramilitary force, contained an insurrection of guerrillas known as the Revolutionary United Front (RUF) in Sierra Leone, regained control of the diamond fields, and forced a negotiated peace. In both these instances they are credited with rescuing the legitimate government in both countries from destabilizing forces. There are lessons to be learned, and beliefs to be validated in this episode. Namely, that a very small force of trained and dedicated men can triumph over an enemy a thousand times bigger, and the worthless legacy of the United Nations continues to grow.

  • A PMC sends 100 soldiers to do a job thousands of UN peacekeepers couldnt do

the UN looks bad as a result

instead of being an effective organization that can do peace keeping

it bribes journalists to make said PMC look bad

the UN should not exist if any thing those bastards start wars, they certainly do not prevent them

Many of EO were former 32Batallion, which was 98% black witrh white officers.

  • The more I learn about the victories of EO, the more I respect them. Also the more I lament that I never got, and never really had, a chance to serve with any of them. When I was in school, these guys were my heroes.

As much as I think white SAs should be proud, EO was staffed mostly by former African Defense troops, the predominate of them black.

  • As one would expect, the UN failed, but then that is what was wanted. The problem with EO was that they didn't then, and still don't, understand that TPTB (Clinton, the UN, etc.) desired failure.

Why did they want failure? That I don't know, but a forest rather than a trees view of the situation makes it rather obvious that they did.

  • Where can i watch the full video???

Therein lies the problem talking pride in something you had no part in!

  • @wardogmobius
