She seems like she would have been an amazing person to have known. Our elders have so much wisdom that this generation needs badly e.g. the booty shakers and drug dealers. It's sad to lose someone but then again there's comfort in knowing they're in a better place.

she was wonderful. when she spoke, EVERYONE listened, it was History and love everytime she spoke.

This is beautiful, VIv! Thank God for strong black women. Most of the really important lessons in life that I've learned have been taught to me by beautiful, strong, black women. God bless you and your family! You all are most definitely in my thoughts and prayers!

This was SO beautiful!!! She and all the strong black women like her around the black community are responsible for all of us being here and being who we are!!!
I was raised by my Grandmother, so I can truly testify to the influence of a powerful and loving black woman!!!

This was so beautiful I was blessed to be able to sit up under and be raised by many women like this I can only imagine how precious she was to you and your family and those around her.
I pray God gives you and your family the strength to make it thru her passing.
