what the concert is this??

Btw, Bonham was no doubt on some level of genius. But you'll note that he softens the roll only after losing his dexterity. There are many tricks to conceal failure in a solo. Zep Forever.

Guess I need to affix a tambourine to my high hat and choke on a vat of whiskey, a mound of blow, and limitless repressed fury in order to become a legendary drummer.

Ladies and gentlemen ... BONZO!
-
Bonzo played with a gentle touch to the most ferocious pounding, and kept it all in perfect time and rhythm. Simply the BEST drummer that ever lived. Period!

@TheFrank58 Every rock star plays live shows drunk or high. Neil Peart does the same.

The stick trick at the end is my favorite part. It's like he's playing with an extra arm for a brief second. His right foot is undoubtedly the greatest ever to rest on the pedal of a bass drum. Joey Jordison needs two bass drums to be able to match it.
