How to tweak APB Reloaded. Config files (Improves your FPS ALOT!)

This tutorial will show you how to tweak your APB: Reloaded config files.

1. Change DX 9 to 10 (Improves your FPS)

First of all to enable Directx10 (ApB runs in directx9 by default):
File to edit: APBMachineoptions.ini (just add below the Default settings in Systemsettings row)
AllowD3D9=False
AllowD3D8=False
AllowD3D7=False
AllowD3D10=True
AllowD3D11=False
- don't forget to set the file to read only after saving!

2. Frame Limit Tweaks

Next there are some first commands to remove some checks of Framelimits that are slowing down the machine.
File to edit: APBMachineoptions.ini
bSmoothFrameRate=False
MinSmoothedFrameRate=22
MaxSmoothedFrameRate=120
OneFrameThreadLag=False
- don't forget to set the file to read only after saving!

3. Switch DXT compression
Another recommended change is to turn off the DXR compression G1 added recently. Many People out the have big problems with green and purple pixels on their characters clothings. Furthermore, textures become more blurry... just to save a few bytes in the installation (what I don't believe at all...). So turning off the compression not only helps everyone who has problems with but will increase the overall quality of player clothing and car designs.

File to edit: APBCompat.ini
-At the end of that file there are 3 sections called AppHWConstraintsBucket1 , AppHWConstraintsBucket2 and AppHWConstraintsBucket3.
-In there you will find the command line "bCompressNormalTextures"
-Set all 3 command lines (same command in all 3 sections) from "true" to "false"
- don't forget to set the file to read only after saving!

@zakokiller No. This is ILLEGAL. If you change your clientside config files that only you can see that doesn't affect gameplay, or skill the FBI will knock down your fucking door, slam you against your desk and arrest you and then put you in a prison and no one will ever see you again.

The configs are just settings and options, like texture quality. But a lot of the things you can set aren't in the menu.

to save the files run notepad as admin and copy/paste from the original ini and edit, then save as whatever.ini in the same folder as the original.click start and search for APB.exe and right click, send shortcut to desktop and use that to start the game and it will not overwrite your old .ini you just changed.when there is an update to the game you will need to run APBLauncher.exe and this will overwrite your new files so save a copy of your edited .ini and replace after the update is complete.

This is a clientside modification, The worst that can happen is an account ban, Secondly. G1 is working on patching this shit atm, But they're apparantly taking forever, so we modders do our part to fix this, So quit your bullshit and stick to what you know, Lego.
