the song "Hungry Heart" from the River was originally written by Bruce for the Ramones to record.....he changed his mind and kept it for himself.....

Springsteen actually is a huge punk rock fan. The E Street Band covers the Clash regularly and he has had Tom Morello sit in with them before

They do have teleprompters telling them the lyrics and suggested key of the song

Are you suggesting that they cheat? There aren't any "little monitors on the floor" giving them cues. That's ridiculous. The people in the stands behind the stage would be able to see them. I've been situated that way before, and I can tell you there's no trickery at all. They just take fan request signs and do the songs on the spot. It's epic.
