Online POKER! Not Online GAMING..... MORONS

to get the US deficit under control, how about you stop going after poker players and actually start doing your jobs like stop giving $3 billion in tax breaks to corporations like G.E. Am I the only one that sees a problem with this?

Poker, like golf, is always going to be part skill, part chance. It's just the proportions that change depending on the level of the player.

things like this really shows how moronic the u.s. government is. hey let's not fix the unemployment rate nor the shitty economy, let's shut down many irrelevant online operations so we can piss off the citizens even more.

@bhawks02 ? The reporter said the players won't get their money back as if it were fact. PLSheffield stated that the site he used did pay back their players. The reporters assumption turned out to be wrong. Fox news deserves all the criticism they get anyway.

@PLSheffield So you are commenting on a story reported back in April as if they are supposed to know what we know now. Congrats. You are an obnoxious know it all who is singling out Fox. MSNBC and CNN reported these same stories during this time period. Grats on your political bias and close minded nature.

Jesus... they are so misinformed and ignorant on the subject it's ridiculous. I guarantee the DOJ shares the same mindset as these clowns.

@thewhiskercat we are mad that instead of regulating poker to stop crooks from scamming us, the government decided to criminalize it. Instead of name calling you should actually do some research on the issue and figure out what happened.

Online Gambling?? Are they for real?!?!
-
lol fuck you government bimbo's. there shouldn't even be a government. government = mafia.
Update: Surprise surprise, Fox Business and Adam Shapiro were wrong. My PokerStars balance was deposited in my bank account 2 weeks ago. I didn't have any funds in Full Tilt or Absolute so I can't comment on them.

@PLSheffield They are actually covering the story you fucking ingrate. Guess what? Very few people in the media know the minutia of the online poker laws especially if they get info from government agencies.

@gsapp59 I'm confused. So you are telling me NOT to expect Fox Business to know anything about what they are reporting on? And I'm the ingrate for not going along with their ignorant assumptions? Sounds familiar. Did you work for the Bush Administration by chance?

There are people that log into these sites just to feel the rush, or throw a bunch of chips around; we call those fish! The rest of us sitting at the table waiting for fish to expose itself are the sharks. This is the poker food chain and the circle of life! Its been said before and Ill say it again; If you think poker has anything to do with gambling you are doing it wrong!

@TongueLashin I've heard liberals and progressives make some pretty ridiculous arguments against online poker. They're told poker is a game of skill. It is not pure chance like the lottery or roulette so it shouldn't be subject to the same gambling laws. The liberal or progressive comes back by saying, "That makes poker even worse. The skilled players take advantage of the weaker players and that's not fair. Everyone has an EQUAL chance at the roulette wheel".
UNBELIEVABLY STUPID ARGUMENT!
