ALG Vietnamese Linguistics Part 3

Vietnamese is an extremely difficult, tonal language, with complex grammar and multiple levels of social register and forms of address. The language also contains numerous sounds which English does not. Antonio rates Vietnamese as much more difficult to learn than Mandarin, Chinese. The only way to learn the sounds of the Vietnamese language would be listening to native speakers for countless hours.
