Martha Plimpton may be the hardest working woman in show business, appearing in two television series at after finishing a run on Broadway and selling out a cabaret show at Lincoln Center a few months ago. She's been on stage since she was 8 years old, and for our live show, she performed the Springsteen favorite, "Thunder Road," with Dan Lipton on piano and Eric Gilliland whistling.
Recorded in WNYC's Jerome L. Greene Performance Space on May 6, 2010.
This version reminds me of 'Stars and the Moon' from Songs for a New World. Amazing. This is the kind of shit that should be used in a Bruce Springsteen Musical.

Never knew Martha could sing. Nice voice. Whistling was totally unnecessary, pretentious and pitchy.
