the question is HOW OFTEN
wreyoG 3 months ago
@marcmody probably not dude. Butter and veg oil i would assume would grab on and accumulate dirt, if anything

this might be a stupid question, but, I would like to know if I can use vegetable Oil or butter to lube the bike chain?

To get a job in a shop you need to know how to build bikes, overhaul drivetrains and know how to obviously change flats and alot of other basic skills

What are some of the more important things to know how to do when thinking of applying as a bike mechanic at a bike shop? Thanks

i use white lightning clean ride(relubed every month), ive had a LOT of luck with it. I've found with the T-9 is that it gathers dirt and crap really fast (relubed every week). I put on about 1000 miles a month, and my bike, chain, and gruppo still look and work like new.

@Dshinskey wd-40 aint a cleaner, its oil for multiple usages , but indeed its not usefull for a bike chain. But if u lack in good oils , u can use it.
