During Grammy week 2010, The Foreign Exchange (Phonte + Nicolay with YahZarah) performed a short "acoustic set" at the 2nd Annual Pre-Grammy Brunch. Sandrine Orabona (cinematographer of Michael Jackson's This Is It) and crew captured the performance and sat down with the trio to discuss The Foreign Exchange's long and winding road to a Grammy nomination. Narrated by KCRW's own Garth Trinidad, and featuring Phonte, Nicolay, YahZarah with special guest Questlove of The Roots sitting in on drums.

  • Dude i am SOOOOOOOOOOO effin happy for Phonte and Nicolay. Yahzarah and Muhsinah as well!! i do NOT care if they aren't on the radio....let ppl keep listening to their BS, i got these cats as my lil secret niche when it comes to music :)

  • Yo foreal, The Foreign Exchange is a generational phenomenon! Albums like 'Connected' and LIAB, I rank up there with Fleetwood Mac's 'Rumors' - or NWA or Public Enemy - or The Eagles - nothing short of groundbreaking!

Embarrassing that radio station managers will not even attempt to bless the airwaves with something so amazing. But thank God for the internet :-)

Keep spreading the word about The Foreign Exchange!
