@SusieQ4FOO I was in Munich for his Don Carlos recently - it was wonderful from start to finish, not to mention the applause which went on, and on, and on !!! I lost count of the curtain calls. It was though an electric current passed around the the audience with Jonas' first note and we were with him, heart and soul, for the rest of the evening ! You really have to try and see him live !

@MARCTULATAI - DE ACUERDO, VOZ ENGOLADA , Y LA MAYOR PARTE DE LAS VECES ABUSA DEL FALSETE, ...

I like Jonas' dark timbre and I love his high register. But in the middle register I also hear a "dumpling-sound" (knödel). If he found his position a bit further in the mask in the middle register, he could well be one of the the greatest tenors of our time. And nobody would probably have to speculate how long his voice will be able to bear this lack of position.
But I must say it again. I love his dark timbre. For my ears it really is unique and rarely found.

@armyoldsweat it's never too late. You'll be surprised how many octogenarians in the opera house.
I absolutely agree with margoszabo. Sensational and without a doubt a great tenor. He is in a class of two as far as Iam concerned, the other being Placido Domingo.

Tenor, Spinto Tenor, Heldentenor, Baritone ... categorize his voice however you want. I just call it amazing. Watched my 1st opera, "Faust," live in HD from the Met on 10Dec. Kaufmann, Poplavskaya and Pape have turned me into an opera fan for life. Vielen dank!
