IYS - International Year of Sanitation:
Cap Net South Asia organized a regional workshop on Ecological Sanitation in Bangalore India

EcoSan - ecological sanitation systems: is a hygienic way for handling human waste and converting it into a resource as well as providing toilets for people who do not have them in India and South Asia.

Themes: Capacity building at the local level, inclusion of women in decision making, hygiene, health, fertilizer, local needs applicable in terms of affordability and environmentally appropriate, culturally sensitive.

Supported by Cap Net Global South Africa and Arghyam. In collaboration with WES-Net India, SEI (Stockholm Environment Institute), and Cap Net India.
