@KobeBryant393 No problem. the official website has a demo of the character builder so you can see what they did in a more hands on fashion.

@FirestreakRodimusPr ok. Thanks a lot

@KobeBryant393 they divided spells into two types. 'Powers' which are spells you normally use in combat like Magic Missile for mages and 'Rituals' which are things like Raise or speak w/ dead. Rituals can't be used in combat. They further divided powers into at-will (essentially 0-levels you can always use), encounters (Once per battle) and Dailys (once per day). so they did away with combat casting and similar feats. Spellcasters can always cast in combat now.

@Diablo9964 may i ask something? Im new to dnd. Does cleric need combat casting in order to cast spells in combat? I play the 3.5 version. Plz answer. Thank you.
I got into 3.5 originally, i actually just ordered an AD&D players guide though. You ever play call of cthulhu?

@CthulhuDarkLord No, haven't run into anyone who's running an active game locally.

@FirestreakRodimusPr Yeah, that's my trouble, i bought the book but no one wants to play. Everyone wants to play D&D, and another issue, everyone wants to play the whole "I want to be the strongest character" thing and not make a decent story. Kinda kills the spirit of the game.

@CthulhuDarkLord I play battletech and World of Darkness in addition to D&D, though I really do wish ravenloft would be released this year instead of being on the shelf.

@CthulhuDarkLord The guy I play with runs old-school WOD. doesn't like the new rules. I play a Wraith.
