think Ginger is confused and depressed about growing up as others have stated, menstruating could be certainly be a theme. I think Ginger put her confidence in an older girl who seemed to be her friend (a wolf) but ends up hurting her really badly in some way. Maybe killing her, but since everything else is a metaphor, maybe cyber-bullying or something of the like would a realistic explanation.

Also when I beat this game, I was able to open one room (there are three that can be opened) in the open room, the first person viewpoint in grandma’s house becomes very low, and Ginger seems to be crawling like a baby through the room.

I did some searching on dream interpretations for this, some of the more interesting things I found is that scarecrows symbolize depression, feathers can symbolize confusion, and “If (the) barbed wire catches you then this is associated with a female influence who is dominant” (auntyflo. Com)
