SMB the lost levels was indeed difficult it took me hours to pass 8-3 but I was able to beat it. if it was so difficult to be brought to the US when it was developed then certainly Battletoads should have not been brought even in a compilation game.

@SMA2343 Straight from Wikipedia (A little shortened):
Doki Doki Panic originally started as a Mario game prototype developed by Kensuke Tanabe. The prototype emphasized vertically scrolling levels and throwing blocks. The gameplay was considered not fun enough at the time and was scrapped until later when Tanabe received instruction to use the Yume Kojo mascots in a game, at which point he expanded the gameplay and developed Doki Doki Panic.

@moviemovies1 OBJECTION. doki doki panic is a game its self, Japan made Super Mario Bros 2, but Nintendo America stated that it was too difficult for American gamers, it was called in North America "Super Mario Bros The Lost Levels" so, they needed a second game they got doki doki panic and switched around the characters

Doki Doki Panic was developed from what was originally going to be Mario 2.

So Birdo and shy guys arnt really Mario characters? : ((( I always wondered why SMB2 felt so weird compared to the rest but I enjoyed its charm, now I feel like its all a lie : (
