  • Were both cars automatic? The Z3 definitely sounds like one (no down shifting or anything, and coming out of corners in 3rd low). A true 'sports' car (I consider my Z3 to be close) should have a manual trans, especially when running track events (minus the ASC)

  • are you joking??? if you can't hear the down- and upshifts maybe you should consult a doctor.... both manual transmission!!!!

  • U stupid guy. Use your little brain before u write this shit. We're going to trackdays and airstrips to have our fun and thats why we do NOT drive on the motorway like hell. Alright????

  • Hey guys it was just 4 fun and sure the M3 is faster than a Z3 2.8 but the driver skills are important too ;)

  • i think you need more cones!! how can you see the road??

  • @outkast81zzz Or maybe you timed them to perfection :) I can't believe what your Z3 did to that M3. Makes me chuffed that I own one :)

  • Looks like the Z3 handles better on the turns. xD Awesome vid. my 2 fav cars racing :O

  • @ParShuffle i agree. i have a manual 2.8 z3 and the rpm changes here sound nothing like a manual. i love my stickshift. it really does make the defference. i smoked several new mustangs off the line

  • I hear the up shifts, but I don't hear the down shifts either. Imo that means you down shift right before accelerating, so you don't get the rpm spikes. Correct me if I'm wrong. Anyways, my experience is that rpm spikes tend to make me lose my back end when I take turns aggressively. The way I fight it is by down shifting earlier, that way the engine helps slow the car down and I can add power through the turn if I have to.

  • EXACTLY DualCore

  • z3 is using the brakes in the turn, you don't hear any RPM spike going in or coming out of the corner... if it is a manual, then they aren't driving it correctly.

  • i wish i could drive in the airfield
