Lianto Tjahjoputro - Air on G String BWV 1068 - JS Bach Transcription : Jusak Jatmiko

In 1986, my senior student, Jusak Jatmiko, made me an opus which is titled Prelude Romantika and a transcription, Air on D - Bach, that was signatured on 23rd October 1986. And then he gave me his handwriting opus without a chance to copy it first. For me, he is very talented in writing songs musical notes. It's very easy for him to write them, till I am sure that he already forgotten about his opus he given to me. Maybe for him, it's a very easy work, but I keep that notes and I had no chance to learn it. Afterwards, 25 years later I opened and learned the note of Air on D because I had to play it in the wedding ceremony of Max and Polly. He really wanted me to play this piece while the bride walking over to the priest. So, I remember the work of Jusak Jatmiko that I keep it well, then I play it in the wedding ceremony of Max on 22nd October 2011.

Di tahun 1986, murid seniorku, Jusak Jatmiko, membuatkan sebuah karangan berjudul Prelude Romantika dan sebuah transkripsi Air in D Bach yang ditandatangani pada 23 Oktober 1986. Lalu, tulisan itu seketika diberikan kepadaku tanpa ia sempat meng-copy terlebih dahulu. Bagiku ia amat berbakat dalam menulis not lagu. Demikian mudahnya dia menulis lagu, sehingga aku yakin ia sudah lupa tentang tulisan yang diberikan padaku itu. Baginya hal itu mungkin pekerjaan ringan dan remeh, tetapi kertas not balok itu terus kusimpan dan belum sempat kumainkan. Ternyata 25 tahun kemudian tulisan itu kubuka dan kupelajari karena saya harus tampil di acara perkawinan Max dan Polly. Max benar - benar menginginkan lagu itu dimainkan ketika pengantin berjalan mendekati pendeta yang memberkati. Maka, aku teringat akan tulisan Jusak Jatmiko yang masih kusimpan baik, dan kumainkan di acara pernikahan Max pada tanggal 22 Oktober 2011.

The title Air on a G String is in correct . The violin performance of this work has nothing to do with the 4th G string.
