Despite sharing a number of structural similarities (such as over-sized environments, an abundance of minor respawn/vendor hubs and endlessly respawning low-level critters), each planet in The Old Republic still manages to establish its own look and identity with the help of decent art design and a couple of unique features. The vast sand dunes of Tatooine provide a fresh new experience after the cityscapes of Nar Shaada and the jungles of Taris...although it's also fair to say that, so far, every new place has ended up overstaying its welcome (to varying degrees) before all its' quests are finished and it's finally time to move on to the next planet. Still, for me the enjoyable experience of discovering and mapping out the terrain on a new world is definitely Old Republic's primary attraction besides advancing the storyline.
@MrSanta78 To offer a different perspective; personally I'd be very happy if the game *was* in fact a more singleplayer-oriented game. SWTOR is definitely an MMO through and through (especially the combat, which makes far more sense when tackled as a group even for the non-Heroic quests), and that's a reason I probably won't be paying for it for very long. It's a wortwhile SP experience because of the class-specific storylines, but there's a ton of MMO filler which isn't much fun on your own.

@Beelzebubb Well, this could be too, but I think it's harsh. You can easilly play SW:TOR as single player game and do some grouping only for very hard quests (called "Heroics") and Flashpoint (aka dungeons made for 4 players). But even as played as single player game is SW:TOR very good IMHO and if you are into Star Wars in general you will have your fun. And you can always play only for the 1st free month and before the 1st monthly payment cancel the subscription.

Is this game worth a monthly charge? Ive heard some people claim that this game is nothing more than a single player game with very basic/generic player community features.
