Go to sleep... My god.. Yeah i hurt a bit (had a liver biopsy yesterday) but u dont need to be put to sleep. The anenstetic hurt most, but the biopsy itself dosnt take more then 10 secs top. And when u are really sick like i am, u really just want to find out whats wrng. so they can fix u:)

I have had a stomache biopsy, with a fine needle. I had the most pain i've ever experienced, but my guess is, that it was the doctors fault. He injected the local anaestethics, didn't test or ask if i felt anything, and inserted the biopsy needle in less than 10 seconds... I had that feeling you normally get from local anaestethics about 10 minutes AFTER the biopsy was done.

I've once sprained my ancle, and i walked around without much pain in mind. So i have a high pain threshold, but this...

PAINLESS MY ASS!! This procedure hurt like hell. From the local to the actual instrument going in!!! Its the worst pain I have ever felt!!!

I have had dozen of these in the last 14 years starting when i was 8 i am 22 now there is nothing to fear from this procedure and it really dues give the doc an ideal what they need to do.

i am 13 and might have to get a liver biopsy. i'm so terrified of the pain. i really don't want one done. but i need to know what's wrong with me. does it hurt. please be completley honest
