Metro North Train 975 rolls out of Put Junction Yard in Brewster, NY to pick up it's passengers at Southeast Station at 20:15 for the trip to Patterson, Pawling, Harlem Valley - Wingdale, Dover Plains, Tenmile River and Wassic.

This engine (along with about 7 others) are being leased from the NRPC (Amtrak) by the State of Connecticut for service on branch line "shuttle" trains. While in the general Metro North pool, this means they will frequently provide service on the Southeast-Wassaic Shuttle Trains freeing up the P-32DMAC's for trains that operate into Grand Central Terminal.

  • they all run on the Shoreline East in Connecticut. Because Jodi Rell made a huge push to increase the Shoreline East service and make it a daily train

Yes indeed. She was the biggest proponent of needed infrastructure and transportation improvements in that state in the last 50 years.

Um......no.....its CDOT as well....While the REPORTING MARK is NOT CDOT the agency abbreviation CDOT is indeed acceptable. What would make you say its not? Before you answer, remember: Connecticut achieved statehood before California.

  • @nhlives It's CTDOT or ConnDOT not CDOT.

  • lmao at the girls screaming

  • HAHAHAHAHA the ladys scream. I cant even. I love this video.

  • Amtrak diesel on Metro North? WIN : )

  • @Great0ne1

almost correct - the AMTK engines weren't leased to MN at all - they were leased to CDOT who contributed most of them to the MN pool.

  • @malikrthr1 Dude before you go around telling people they're wrong you should do your research. The Amtrak locomotive was there because at the time Metro-North had a number of FL-9s and F10s that usually pulled the branchline trains that weren't working. So MN leased locomotives from Amtrak to run the branch line trains.

  • @malikrthr1

again WTF are you talking about?

Your responses don't make sense. Read them back yourself....
