  • The performance is excellent, but the video can only be described as watching by braille. This woman is talented beyond words, but it is so frustrating because you want to SEE this kind of virtuosity but can't. Ms. Shelest is a great virtuoso, and I can only say that I eagerly await seeing her perform.

  • Sorry about the poor visual quality, I wish someone did a better job at the camera :(

  • 6 months later... Still, DANG! This is arguably the most difficult concerto in the standard repertoire, and this cadenza is especially difficult, yet you play it with earthshattering power and mastery!

  • I loved hearing this!

  • An inspired performance, sound-quality notwithstanding. At least one can hear the piano clearly. Ms. Shelest is on track to be a major figure in the piano world. Her playing is musical and engaging with great sensitivity and power as required. Bravo!

  • Dang.

  • Anna Shelest is brilliant and fascinating. A gem in the style of the golden age of pianists. I look forward to more.

  • Ochen` zdorovo!!!

  • Prokofiev's melodies are as winning and romantic as Rachmaninoff's....but the whole tenor of the piece is more...dare I say it, "tortured"....more Russian, more proof (as the London Symphony's maestro has claimed) that the composer was a master. Shelest's performance is nothing short of sensational!

  • Remarkable. Really caught the flavor of the piece and brought out the details especially well. Very nice.

  • This seems a spirited & tigerish performance, with lots of power & clarity. Obviously we can only guess at the total effect as the over-resonant sound,(churches are disastrous for pianos),sabotages some of her efforts.

Certainly whets the appetite for more!

  • the performance is wonderful...exactly as it should be...she swallowed it whole!!
