Back in the mid 70's I had the pleasrure of singing with The Coastmen Chorus (West Palm Beach FL) under the direction of Harlan Wilson. I jumped at the chance to be the bass of a quartet with 3 of the best singers I had the opportunity to sing with. One of them was still in High School that sang a great baritone. His name....Todd Wilson. The four of us would listen to The Boston Common and learn their songs off the album. I loved singing their songs.

Thank you. I wrote this on another video...
"I remember the 1975 championship when they were CLEARLY screwed by the judges. They came out to sing after that and received a long, LONG standing ovation. It was a protest by the audience. Everyone knew they were cheated.
Almost as emotional as when, later, I asked them to sing "Imagination" to me and my girl at the Purdy Corral. That was a special moment I'll remember for the rest of my days..."

Why is it titled lida rose if it has till there was u at the middle??

I love these guys. Four of the nicest guys in barbershop. Have had the pleasure of their company numeroous times, even singing with them on stage in my HS quartet in 1983. Gorgeous voices, beautiful blend, and wonderful gentlemen.

The best songs are Medleys that encompass an entire album, genre, film.....SOMETHING....
Lida Rose is the start of the song...."'Til There Was You" was a second part.......get with the program....
Look...these guys knew how to sing and did so very well, quit bitching about how they were recorded
