WARNING:
From now on, any YT user who leaves a hateful, biased, bigoted, ignorant, racist or xenophobic comment will be blocked. This video is posted only for the purpose of information on what war can do to you, not to cause a pissing contest between nations. I am sorry to say that most people who post that kind of comment are American. Then again the Americans who know better and have a life don't post that kind of comment. That was for all the people who have nicks like "hopeurforfreedom" (no kidding! lol) and "Thud" (sounds "dull" ha ha). And it's OK if those ppl think being blocked by me is a big victory for them. Remember, those are the same ppl who think killing hundreds of thousands of civilians in VN or Iraq by dropping bombs on them is a big victory.
So appreciate the vid for what it is, if you're a human being, not an animal. Take care.

An amazing interview of a USAF pilot "in action" in Vietnam. He is clearly enjoying what he's doing. This is a clip from a 1977 french documentary by Chris Marker, "A Grin Without a Cat" ("Le fond de l'air est rouge").

Une interview incroyable d'un pilote de l'US Air force en pleine « action » au Vietnam. Manifestement, il adore ce qu'il fait. Extrait d'un documentaire de Chris Marker de 1977, « Le fond de l'air est rouge ».

  • Its a known fact that in Vietnam the French were far more brutal then the Americans were!

Most of the Foreign Legion back then were made up of Former Nazis too

  • @H20654 Whatever. It's not "the French" or "the US", it's war. VN prisoners have been tortured, killed, thrown off helicopters and planes by both French and American military in those wars.

  • you're just mad because you're from France, a nation famous for turning tail and surrendering and you're jealous of Americans who do stay and fight.

raise one hand if you like the French, raise two if you are French.

  • @TheStegosarusarmy 1) Your jokes are old and boring. 2) No, this nation is not famous for that, but it was just the butt of some jokes by right-wing (ie extreme right) assholes in 2003 and after on late night shows, hate websites and foxnews and such. Big difference. All jokes and allegations of cowardice and stereotypes have been debunked and replied to over and over and over and over and over many times. Look it up. You are the one that's mad. Ppl like me will fight ignorance & stupidity.

  • @Onaryc59 No offense mate but your known for that in Europe as well

  • @H20654 "Known for that" doesn't mean it's true. Many things are said about the French (and other nations) that turn out to be untrue when you look at the figures. Word "stereotype" mean anything to you?

  • @techcafe That's a great book w/ tons of refs.

  • @techcafe yea but its a nice place

  • Welcome to America!

where ‘corporations are people’ and it costs about a billion dollars to s/elect a puppet president. USA! USA! US of A rapacious military empire garrisoning, invading, occupying and plundering the globe, ‘exporting democracy’ (installing dictators and propping-up client/police states), 'nation building' (expanding the empire), ‘liberating the people’ (of their oil/resource wealth), et al... ad nauseam.

American exceptionalism… it’s enough to give imperialism a bad name.

  • also see "Timeline of CIA Atrocities" by Steve Kangas

  • @MORTONLGG It's great fun killing people who are trying to kill your fellow countrymen.

  • Every country has it's bigots and ignorant people, though some americans seem proud of their ignorance ( I aint gonna read durin a movie). On the other hand, europeans who make comments about americans all being stupid are too ignorant to understand how bigoted they are being, while also failing to realize that the IQ of the average citizen, in every country, is rather low. It's a small fraction of any country that could be considered truly 'intelligent' or 'smart'. Ignorance knows no borders.
