This is a lecture by the respected Sheikh Ul Islam, Mufti Taqi Usmani.
This is a very important topic to understand, regrading "Bidah e hasanah", because this topic is usually misunderstood by many.

  • I don't understand urdu, so I was wondering if Taqi Usamni in this lecture approved of good bidah?

  • @HaqKaMuhafiz: Salamu 'Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh, firstly I'm a sister && secondly I don't event remember commenting on this video, but noneless I left a beautiful statement by a great && prominent sahabi (may Allah be pleased with him) which is enough to clarify the stance on "Good Innovation."

It's the month of Ramadhan && I really would not wanna debate on sectarian issues, may Allah unite the Ummah upon the Haqq && grant victory to Islam, the muslimeen wal muslimaat. 'AMEEN.

  • Bidah is of types don't take my word for it look at what the scholars of deem deen has said on the matter, people like imaam shafi a salaf imam Nawawi and every other great scholar

  • And it was Umar ra who introduced thrawi jamat and one of the companions who had the Quran compiled into the form we have with us today, I what you say is thrue about every bidah being bad then these acts would also be considered as bidah and bad, but it's not the case

  • MashaAllah!

  • Abdullah b. ‘Umar [Allah be pleased with them both] said:

Every bid’ah (religious innovation) is misguidance, even if people think it is good.
