I got an Xbox after I played the Silent Cartographer mission at a CompUSA waaaaaay back in the day. My friends ridiculed me for wanting an Xbox but after I played Halo:CE I had to have it. I had an N64 and my family didn't have enough money to get me a new console when they all came out around 2000 I didn't get an xbox till 2006 and it was because Rare were only on xbox now. It wasn't till I had my xbox that my Dad was told about Halo and got me a copy of Halo 2, I had no idea what was going on coz I hadn't played the first one, but I bought them both and came to really appreciate the story line.
Shame about Rare going down hill, they were great in the 90s early 2000s
