Ladies, your individual releases aside--which are great, when on stage with SD, stay in the background. Thank you very much at this time.

I'm sorry but for me, this is one of those songs that just needed to be left alone. I wish David Palmer were singing. If only Jack Bauer was faster. But seriously I don't think these back up singers fit well with the group. They are in many performances so the group feels they work. And they're the pros. I'm just a fan. But I still like them. Even converted my wife.

For what it's worth I've heard this with Phoebe Snow slinging the lead, and it doesn't sound nearly this good. There may be other blues singers who could improve on this performance, but jhearing this one, it makes more sense coming from a woman than a man. If Don had agree with the rest of you, Palmer would have lasted longer than he did. Donald could have sung the song at these live shows, but that he gave it to the women says something.

@deadpan227- If they released the song sounding like this when it was released it would never have charted. This is God Awful - In My Opinion.

@lmanleycfa -are you deaf or just too old. I mean maybe you are so needy for Steely Dan, you'll accept anyone. Yeah, Tony Orlando will now do the guest vocals on "reeling in the years", & Charo will sing "Bodisthava". Fuck that shit.

@deadpan227 -you're so full of shit I can't believe anyone could be that lame. The David Palmer version was the one and only GOLD standard, Nobody wants to hear this old fat hag wreck one of Steely Dan's greatest songs.
Yea, they planned on having a woman sing it, fuck you!

The singers are Cindy Mizelle and Carolyn Leonhard-Escoffery. I love their performance of this song.
