Awesome video! Nice looking car. Although I would do without the suspension set up, I'd definitely take the car, particularly the Cummins diesel.

This right here is what hot rodding is all about.

@73to79ford The 500 is one of the biggest pieces of shit to ever come out of America. Almost every flat black Cadillac has a 500, they're all basically unoriginal cliches.

@dieslpower2 When you say needs rebuilt every 20,000 miles is a bunch of garbage even when built to high power levels. I don't think you are familiar with the very robust build quality of the 472/500 Cadillac v8s and they just so happen to get surprisingly good gas mileage. They make excellent truck engines too along with the 385 series Ford 429/460 based engines and they last 300,000k miles under abuse just fine.

I promise you a turbo 500 at more than 500 hp would never go 300,000 miles or ever get better than 15 mpg. So if that is your call be my guess I am stickin with diesel!

@73to79ford Sure for twice a much money you can put in a 500 gas that makes 4 digit horse power, runs on race gas, gets 6 miles to the gallon and has to be rebuilt every 20,000 miles. Or you can use a Cummins swap shown here. $5-6000 for the motor and tranny swap I'm sure it gets 25-35 miles per gallon and runs on nothing special, just diesel and lasts 300,000 miles. So go ahead and make a 500 turbo motor that makes 4 digit horse power.

@dieslpower2 You Don't need a turbo to make big power with the big Cadillac like you do with that Cummins but start adding turbos to that big Cadillac and it would quickly be into the four digit power levels which is more than the Cummins. Same with the 385 series Fords with the new parts and heads coming out for these engines the power levels is quite impressive without a turbo or fuel injection, just pure brute power.

@73to79ford When I see a turbo charged 500 c.i caddy motor that makes over 1000 hp, gets more than 15 miles per gallon, runs on pump gas and lasts 300,000 miles I'll eat my own shorts. I am familiar with the 500 c.i. engine my brother has one. They are a great engine I will not argue that. But to say "Gutless with diesel yuck and gross." You are uninformed of the capability of the 5.9 liter Cummins.
