He was phenomenal (and unbelievably arrogant) in his prime. I wish he had retired sooner. And I wish he had never rapped.

When you can make a 28 year old prime Bernard Hopkins look like a sparring partner you are one of the best that ever lived. Hop just out boxed the best light heavy in the world at age 46. To Roy he was just a bump in the road.
Hopkins has had one of the most decorated careers in boxing history. He's never lost a fight where it wasn't extremely close except when he met a guy named Roy Jones. He had never seen a fighter like that and 18 years later he still never has. And he never will.

Exactly EJ most Roy haters never even saw him fight first hand in his prime. They are kids in their teens and 20's who never saw his prime.
He was not only fighter of the decade by every boxing magazine but the disparity in which he won by was ridiculous. He was absolutely untouchable for a decade. Boxing as we know it has only been going on for about 120 years so that means there have been 12 fighters of the decade. And 1 maybe 2 fighters won by the disparity of Roy.
