  • Well I can`t argue with success then. Gr8 stuff dude.

  • Thanks lewandlo and some more information which I recieved today and will pass on. Another fisherman had a similar home made device which used rollers to strip the fish from the hooks. The rollers acted like an old fashioned clothes mangle (old fashioned set of rollers which you put wet clothes through to squeeze out the water) and the rollers tended to pull the fish into them which caused jamming, damaged fish and broken lines. Fixed pipes equals smooth positive action and undamaged fish.

  • Looks like a great set up. I was wondering if it was better to have a roller where the line rubs against the two points? I think it will eventually make a grove into the round tubing. Then it will start to cut the line no?

  • Hi Lewandlo, I have been making these Jiggers for 6 years now and have never had one returned for repair. When I started to make them I also thought the same as you but, on the other hand, should a groove appear then it is a simple and quick job to weld up and polish out any groove. Rollers can be tricky and high maintenance with the simplicity of the jigger being what the fishermen like.
