@theARMORYchannel i had a problem with a set of truglo fiberoptic getting hot and actually melting and warping due to superhot Oklahoma heat (which i hate!) and a lot of rounds... probably more of the Oklahoma heat...

Trading in my '70 series Colt for a Glock 19 today. Getting lots of extras on top, so not worried about the value difference. The plunger tube keeps popping out when firing. It's been restaked by myself and 2 gunsmiths and it still does it. I've learned 1911's are like classic cars: if you can't afford to maintain it, you shouldn't bother owning it. Pass is on to someone that can afford to treat it like it deserves. Loved it, but looking forward to the practical and reliable Glock 19.

@yourhero36 Why buy an XD when you can own the original? Like buying a Kia when a nice Cadillac is right there. Nothing out does Glock reliability. The troops over in trashcanistan do their best to obtain Glocks and pass them on to their replacements. XD's not mentioned.

I got the 9mm because I found too many ppl who got the .40 who switched to the 9mm. I haven't seen anyone who switched from 9mm to .40.
